Distributor Partner Manager
Job description
The Distributor Partner Manager (DPM) drives Red Bull’s commercial performance in Mexico City through KDP (Grupo Peñafiel) and its distribution partners. You will influence partners without direct authority. You will turn sell-in, sell-out and distribution data into action plans, and follow through in the field until results are delivered.
STRATEGY & EXECUTION WITH PARTNERS Communicate and implement Red Bull strategies, initiatives and Key Account Programs with KDP and distribution partners, including a rapid-response process for late-notice programs. Ensure partners execute Red Bull merchandising standards: product flow, SKU priorities by channel, display and pricing.
Support sales books and training for partner sales reps. BUSINESS PLAN & PERFORMANCE Agree and run a monthly scorecard with each partner covering distribution build-up, organization build-up and sales forecast by month and channel. Track and manage KPIs: sell-in (partner purchases from Peñafiel), sell-out, horizontal and vertical distribution, and inventory levels.
Manage POS allocation by distributor and keep partners updated on new items and timing. Maintain alignment with partner ownership and top management. Agree the personnel structure needed to deliver the business plan. BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE Analyze sell-in/sell-out, distribution, inventory, Nielsen and out-of-stock data to identify gaps and build action plans.
Hold partners accountable for accurate, timely data submission into Red Bull systems, and enforce Red Bull’s inventory policy. DISTRIBUTOR STRUCTURE & ACCOUNTABILITY Understand each partner’s hierarchy, routing and sales-force pay structure. Recommend route-to-market and manpower improvements. Share best practices across partners.
MARKET & INTERNAL ALIGNMENT Build deep knowledge of product and distributor competition across CDMX channels. Work closely with the Off-Premise, Key Accounts and On-Premise sales teams and with Marketing to align partner execution with business unit goals. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Marketing.
3+ years in FMCG managing distributors and indirect sales channels (required). Experience across multiple channels: traditional trade, convenience, wholesalers, regional chains and on-premise. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and drill-downs. Hands-on experience with Nielsen data. Valid driver’s license; the role is primarily field-based.
Intermediate English or higher.
