Job description
School of Hotel and Tourism Management Project Co-ordinator II The MSc in Sports Business Management (SBM) Programme at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, CUHK Business School, is inviting applications for the position of Project Co-ordinator II to support program-related administration. We are looking for a highly motivated and responsible individual who enjoys working with students, alumni, academic and industry partners, and supporting the development of future sports business leaders.
The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in sports and active lifestyles, together with a growth mindset and a willingness to explore new trends, technologies and opportunities shaping the future of the sports industry. The appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting programme activities, industry events, networking sessions, sports-related initiatives and student engagement activities from planning to execution, including logistics co-ordination, vendor liaison, stakeholder communication and on-site support; (b) working closely with students and alumni to initiate activities that strengthen participation, peer connections, professional networking and programme identity; (c) supporting the programme’s marketing and outreach efforts, including creating content and managing social media accounts, developing sports industry-related stories and highlights, producing promotional materials, and co-ordinating recruitment and engagement activities; (d) supporting engagement with industry partners, sports organisations, governing bodies, corporate sponsors, and alumni to strengthen the programme’s industry network and learning opportunities; (e) providing administrative support for programme operations, including processing expense claims, supporting admission, maintaining records, preparing reports, handling enquiries, supporting student-related matters; and (f) performing other duties as assigned.
Flexible working hours may be required to support programme activities and events occasionally. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (iii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification work experience; (iv) proficiency in MS Office applications; (v) familiarity with social media platforms (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram and Xiaohongshu); (vi) a proactive, energetic and student-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in building communities and creating positive student experiences; (vii) strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills; (viii) a strong sense of responsibility and work ethics; (ix) the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, creativity and attentiveness to detail; and (x) an interest in sports, sports business, active lifestyles or major sporting events.
Having experience in sports-related organisations, events, competitions, clubs, or community initiatives, as well as experience in social media management, content creation, and skills in utilizing up-to-date digital and AI tools will be advantageous. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
