• BATTLE CREEK, MI, Salary Range: $22.19 - $24.60Hourly, Job Objective: To provide a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The Accounting Clerk will keep financial records updated, prepare reports and reconcile bank statements. This position will operate computer programs to process business transactions like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, and receipts. The Accounting Clerk's primary focus will be on accounts payable, with support in Accounts Receivable and invoicing. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide accounting support to Gallagher Uniform with a heavy focus on A/P work Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements Reconcile accounts in a timely manner Daily entry of key data of financial transactions Provide assistance and support to company personnel Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Contact customers via phone with outstanding invoice balances, as necessary Constantly update job knowledge Qualifications: Qualifications & Educational Requirements: High school graduate; degree in accounting or finance related field preferred Proven accounting or finance experience Attention to detail and organization skills Aptitude for numbers Computer Proficient with MS Office, databases and accounting software Good phone demeanor and customer service experience Bill.com knowledge preferred
