Our Mission: To help hard-working New Yorkers build better tomorrows Our Vision: Be New York's most loved financial institution by helping our members build their best financial futures Overview: Reporting to the Director of Strategic Insights, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing disparate data sources to provide recommendations that guide MCU’s member-centric growth strategy.

Using both structured and unstructured data, this senior analyst will be responsible for applying a variety of analytic techniques to uncover growth segments, guide product development, and support personalization efforts. The analyst will help develop clear, actionable recommendations and deliver results to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Identity and prepare structured and unstructured data for analysis Conduct in-depth analysis to inform member segments, product development, and personalization efforts Work with business partners and the Director of Strategic insights to identify and prioritize projects with the greatest potential for impact.

Translate analysis results into business-oriented action items Communicate results to marketing and other business leaders Develop processes and methods for tracking impact of recommendations Serve as a ‘data end user’ SME to identify areas of improvement for data processes and systems Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or other quantitative field 3+ years in data analytics Proven ability to aggregate and synthesize larger data sets from multiple sources Working knowledge of Python, R, or other analytic language Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools Familiarity with statistical and machine learning modeling algorithms Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex ideas simply Competencies : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent member service skills Excellent research and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to multi-task; good time management skills Highly ethical.

Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, 401(k) with an 6% employer match per pay period.
