Grounds Maintenance

Position Overview

The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the outdoor event venue. This role ensures all lawns, gardens, pathways, and event spaces are professionally maintained and presentation-ready for weddings, tournaments, festivals, and private events.

Responsibilities

Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and turf areas. Plant, weed, mulch, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and decorative landscaping. Prune trees and bushes to maintain a polished, event-ready appearance. Monitor plant health and report signs of disease, pests, or irrigation issues. Apply fertilizers and treatments as directed (in accordance with licensing requirements).

Prepare grounds prior to scheduled events, ensuring clean, safe, and manicured spaces. Assist with tent setup areas by ensuring level, debris-free surfaces. Support parking layout preparation and grounds marking as needed. Perform post-event cleanup and landscape restoration. Maintain walkways, patios, and outdoor gathering areas.

Safely operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, and utility vehicles. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment. Report equipment repair needs promptly. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Performing any other tasks assigned by leadership Experience: Preferred: One (1)

• Three (3) years experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance Required: Experience working at outdoor venues, parks, golf courses or event spaces Preferred: Knowledge of basic horticulture practices Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership Schedule: Days and start times TBD based on business needs 5-6 day work week Flexibility to work hours needed based on event schedules Compensation: $20.00 per hour Environment: Varying temperatures and weather conditions based on outdoor working conditions Skills: Physical abilities : May be required to lift up to 50 – 55lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
