Job Purpose The SSHE Support Officer is responsible for implementing SSHE practices in drilling and well services field operations to protect the health and safety of well services employees and contractors, while preserving environmental quality. The role ensures that all drilling and well services activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company requirements.
Key Accountabilities Manage SSHE (Safety, Security, Health and Environment) operations for Onshore Well Operations personnel Act as the SSHE focal point by monitoring performance and facilitating internal SSHE meetings Ensure effective implementation of SSHE requirements in drilling and well services field operations Maintain SSHE standards aligned with best industry practices and international benchmarks Foster a culture where management, employees, and contractors proactively and uncompromisingly manage SSHE risks Provide professional advice on safety and security matters Deliver safety and security training and briefings to staff and contractors Oversee and ensure compliance with Basic SSHE Competency requirements Coordinate emergency response drills and exercises related to drilling and well services operations Job End Results Take appropriate and timely action on SSHE issues Ensure a safe working environment and effective response to emergency situations Enforce the implementation of SSHE rules and regulations Drive continuous improvement in SSHE performance Professional Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field Basic knowledge of well operations Experience in managing SSHE matters, including audits, accident investigation (root cause analysis), and leading emergency exercises Additional Desirable Qualifications Good presentation skills Ability to work effectively under pressure
