Job Summary

San Jacinto Valley Academy seeks an experienced audio professional to teach in its Audio Technology program. The successful candidate will bring industry knowledge and practical experience from studio and live sound environments into the classroom, and will be able to engage and develop students entering the field. The program operates as a working facility.

It includes a student-staffed recording studio, a live performance venue, a student-run record label, and an after-school club in which students learn to DJ. Students graduate with Avid Pro Tools certification and AVIXA-Recognized AV Technologist certification, supported by a portfolio of completed work that includes original music releases, commercial spots, podcast trailers, film sound redesign, and live production for theatre, concerts, and school events.

Candidates should have professional experience in studio recording and live sound, along with the ability to instruct and mentor middle and high school students in a project-based environment.
