Registered Nurse (Full-Time/Nightshift)

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MSU team. In this role, you will deliver direct patient care, monitor for withdrawal symptoms, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians, behavioral health specialists, and case managers to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in acute care or specialty areas. Certification in a nursing specialty (e.g., Critical Care, Psychiatry). Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for accurately evaluating patient conditions and determining appropriate care plans. Effective communication skills are vital for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned in their approach to patient care.
Time management and organizational skills will help you prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary for making quick decisions in response to changing patient needs. Preferred skills, such as proficiency in EHR systems, will enhance your ability to document care accurately and streamline communication within the healthcare team.
