Line Cook/Expo

Pack's Tavern is looking for an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team in downtown Asheville.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in consistency and quality, works well under pressure, and understands the importance of strong communication in a busy kitchen. Candidates should have previous line cook experience as well as experience working expo and coordinating food through the window during service.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and execute menu items for lunch and dinner service with accuracy and consistency
• Work multiple stations as needed during service
• Work expo when needed, helping coordinate tickets, communicate with the line and FOH team, and ensure food leaves the kitchen accurately and efficiently
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Keep your station clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and management
• Assist with prep, cleaning, and closing responsibilities
• Take ownership of your station and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen

What We're Looking For

• Previous line cook experience required
• Previous expo/expediting experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to stay organized and composed during busy service
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Takes pride in food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position
