Catalyst Collective Security Site Lead Location: Huntsville, Alabama Clearance: Active Top Secret Required Experience: 7–10+ Years Preferred Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Catalyst Collective Security Site Lead to provide security leadership, oversight, and compliance management for the Catalyst Collective facility located in Huntsville, Alabama.
This position will serve as the senior on-site security authority for the Huntsville facility and will be responsible for maintaining a compliant, secure, and mission-ready environment supporting Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities. The Site Lead will oversee day-to-day security operations, provide direction to assigned security personnel, and ensure facility activities remain aligned with applicable NISPOM, DoD, Intelligence Community, ICD 705, SAP, and customer-specific security requirements.
The Site Lead will work closely with security personnel supporting other Catalyst Collective locations to maintain consistent security practices, coordinate requirements, share information, and support compliance across the broader organization while retaining primary responsibility for the Huntsville facility.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the senior security lead for the Huntsville Catalyst Collective facility, providing leadership, direction, and oversight for all on-site security operations and compliance activities. Oversee security requirements supporting Collateral, SCI, and SAP programs and operations, ensuring applicable requirements are properly implemented and maintained.
Lead and oversee SCIF and SAPF security operations, including compliance with ICD 705, applicable Intelligence Community guidance, SAP requirements, and customer-specific security requirements. Maintain compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoD security policy, Intelligence Community directives, SAP security requirements, and applicable government and customer guidance.
Provide leadership and oversight across security functions supporting the facility, including physical security, industrial security, personnel security, information security, classified material control, access control, visitor management, security education, incident reporting, and security compliance. Direct and supervise assigned security personnel and establish clear responsibilities, procedures, schedules, and operational expectations necessary to support facility security requirements.
Maintain the facility’s overall security posture and operational readiness, identifying vulnerabilities, compliance gaps, or emerging requirements and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Oversee access control, badging, visitor processing, classified-area access, and personnel verification processes to ensure access is limited to properly authorized personnel.
Ensure proper safeguarding, handling, storage, transmission, accountability, and disposition of classified information and materials in accordance with applicable requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain facility-level security policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), plans, records, and compliance documentation.
Conduct and support security self-inspections, assessments, audits, investigations, vulnerability reviews, and corrective-action activities. Lead preparation for and support government, customer, and internal security inspections and assessments, including tracking findings and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
Support insider threat and counterintelligence-related security requirements applicable to facility operations and classified programs. Coordinate regularly with security leadership and personnel at other Catalyst Collective facilities to maintain consistent security standards, communicate emerging requirements, share lessons learned, and support enterprise-wide security objectives.
Serve as the primary on-site security point of contact for government security representatives, customers, program security personnel, facility leadership, and other authorized stakeholders. Required Qualifications 7–10+ years of progressively responsible security experience supporting classified U.S. Government, DoD, defense, aerospace, intelligence, or similarly regulated environments.
Demonstrated experience providing security leadership or oversight within a cleared facility or classified operating environment. Experience supporting Collateral classified programs, with working knowledge of SCI and SAP security requirements. Strong working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoD security requirements, applicable Intelligence Community guidance, and classified information safeguarding requirements.
Experience supporting SCIF and/or SAPF operations, including familiarity with ICD 705 requirements, physical security standards, access controls, and secure-area operations. Experience with physical security, personnel security, industrial security, information security, classified material control, security education, incident reporting, and compliance activities.
Experience conducting or supporting security inspections, self-assessments, audits, investigations, and corrective-action programs. Demonstrated ability to interpret government and customer security requirements and translate them into practical facility-level procedures and controls. Experience developing and maintaining security SOPs, plans, policies, records, and compliance documentation.
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience serving as an FSO, CSSO, PSO, SSO, Security Manager, Site Security Lead, or equivalent senior security professional. Experience supporting security operations across Collateral, SCI, and SAP environments. Experience operating or supporting SCIFs and SAPFs and maintaining compliance following facility accreditation.
Experience supporting DCSA, Intelligence Community, SAP, government, or customer security inspections and assessments. Experience leading security operations within a facility supporting multiple programs, customers, or classified mission requirements. Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizenship required. Active Top Secret security clearance required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any additional accesses required to support assigned SCI, SAP, or customer-specific programs. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be an experienced security professional capable of serving as the senior security authority for the Huntsville Catalyst Collective facility. They will combine strong knowledge of classified security requirements with the leadership and operational judgment necessary to maintain a secure, compliant, and mission-ready environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing security activities across Collateral, SCI, and SAP environments, leading on-site security personnel, supporting SCIF and SAPF operations, preparing for inspections, resolving compliance issues, and coordinating directly with government and customer security representatives.
They will also be capable of working closely with security personnel at other Catalyst Collective facilities to maintain consistent standards and practices while taking clear ownership of the security posture, compliance, and day-to-day security operations of the Huntsville facility.
