This position requires disciplined driving habits, strong situational awareness, and a commitment to accurate, efficient, and professional delivery execution. The Driver is responsible for operating Class A commercial vehicles and trailers, performing thorough inspections, maintaining vehicle readiness, and ensuring each delivery is completed safely, accurately, and on time. This role demands strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Complete and document daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects and submit repair requests. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform minor emergency repairs such as changing tires, replacing bulbs or fuses, and securing loads.

Verify delivery orders, confirm quantities, and ensure materials match specifications before departing. Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery windows, instructions, and questions. Maneuver trucks and trailers through tight spaces without causing damage. Unload materials safely using cranes or forklifts while following all safety procedures.

Document deliveries accurately, including photo verification and proper handling of COD payments. Maintain accurate delivery status through mobile apps and report delays, incidents, or issues immediately. Identify hazards, report near misses, and contribute to improving safety and efficiency. Commercial Driver (Class A CDL): Required Skills & Qualifications Valid Class A CDL.

Minimum two years commercial driving experience. Ability to read maps, follow GPS directions, and interpret written instructions. Basic proficiency with smartphones and delivery applications. Strong spatial awareness and ability to maneuver large trailers safely. Professional communication skills for customer interactions.

Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted. Current Medical Certificate. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 26 (for insurance requirements). Ideal Traits Safety-focused and disciplined.
