Now SAM Developer supporting the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) IT Services-2 (ITS-2) program.

In this role, you will join a Strategic Operations Project Team supporting the transition of the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) from BMC Helix to Service. Now. You will play a critical role in modernizing IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities for AFDW and the Department of the Air Force (DAF), developing scalable solutions that improve IT asset management, automate enterprise workflows, and strengthen mission readiness.

Working closely with technical architects, IT asset managers, and Government stakeholders, you will design, configure, develop, and deploy Service. Now applications, integrations, and automated workflows. Your expertise in Service. Now Software Asset Management (SAM), platform engineering, and enterprise integrations will help transform legacy IT processes into secure, efficient, and user-focused solutions.

Work Location: On-site Camp Springs, MD Security Clearance Required: Secret or higher Term: 12-18 months with potential for extended support post standup.

Responsibilities

Build, configure, and maintain Service. Now Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro), SaaS Management, and related Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro) integrations. Implement and maintain software entitlement models, license metrics, normalization rules, and automated reconciliation processes to support software compliance and optimization.

Design and implement end-to-end software asset lifecycle automation, including software requests, allocation, reclamation, renewals, and retirement using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Scoped Applications. Design, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy scalable Service. Now applications, workflows, and platform enhancements.

Develop and maintain Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Service Portal widgets in accordance with enterprise coding standards. Optimize Service. Now data models, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) relationships, and asset management schemas to ensure data integrity and performance.

Develop and maintain system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration. Hub, and Service. Now integration capabilities. Configure and execute data imports, transform maps, and scheduled jobs to synchronize information from third-party discovery tools, vendor portals, and procurement systems. Build and maintain SAM dashboards, executive compliance reports, custom database views, and automated audit reporting capabilities.

Prepare technical design specifications and manage update sets and scoped application deployments across development, testing, and production environments. Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot and resolve defects, and support Service. Now platform upgrades, patching, and Automated Test Framework (ATF) validations. Explore and implement emerging Service.

Now capabilities, including Now Assist and AI agents, to enhance asset management operations and user self-service. Collaborate with IT Asset Managers, Procurement teams, ITIL process owners, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and licensing rules into technical solutions. Develop technical architecture documentation, administrative runbooks, and user-facing knowledge articles to support ongoing operations and knowledge transfer.

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and onboarding support to fellow team members.

Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. At least 4 years of hands-on Service.

Now development and scripting experience, including JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, and XML. Strong proficiency in Service. Now Flow Designer, Integration. Hub, and API-based integrations. Service. Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Service. Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification required. Strong technical expertise in Service.

Now IT Asset Management (ITAM), including Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM). Experience with Service. Now IT Operations Management (ITOM), including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping. Proven experience supporting large-scale Service. Now implementations, platform governance, and enterprise development standards.

Demonstrated ability to design, configure, develop, and deploy Service. Now workflows, custom applications, and system integrations. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, technical documentation, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and Government customers.

Desired Qualifications Master's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline. Service. Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification. Service. Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in ITSM. ITIL v4 Foundation certification. Experience with BMC Helix or BMC Remedy. Experience migrating enterprise ITSM platforms from BMC Helix or Remedy to Service.

Now. Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force (DAF), or other Federal Government IT environments. Familiarity with Service. Now Now Assist, AI agents, and intelligent workflow automation. Salary and Compensation Salary is commensurate with education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and qualifications.

The anticipated salary range for this requisition is $105,000�$195,000 annually. This range is not a guarantee of compensation or an offer amount. The actual salary offered will depend on the position�s responsibilities, relevant qualifications, security clearance, internal equity, applicable market data, contractual labor category requirements, and applicable laws or requirements.
