Do Not Apply on this WebsiteSee Application Instructions Below*** Hudson seeks Senior Engineer — Electric The City of Hudson is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Engineer — Electric. Under the general direction of the Public Works Director and Assistant Public Works Superintendent, this position performs professional engineering work related to the municipal electric system, including project engineering and management for electric transmission and distribution projects.

Responsibilities include

coordinating with engineering consultants and city staff on utility projects; supporting residential, commercial and industrial development; reviewing the electric system and identifying operational improvements; providing engineering design and construction supervision; developing project cost estimates, technical specifications and contract documents; assisting with capital planning and budgeting; overseeing utility repair and maintenance programs; and working with contractors, consultants, city departments and the public.

The position may also supervise staff, including substation personnel, and may be required to respond after hours, including weekends and holidays, during departmental or city-wide emergencies. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering from an accredited university and have professional experience in substation equipment and maintenance, engineering design and project management, preferably in the electric utility field.

Candidates must have working knowledge of SCADA system integration, configuration and programming and experience with engineering design, construction and project-management practices. An Ohio Professional Engineering license and Ohio driver’s license are required. The current salary range is $78,686.40 to $125,153.60.

The position is exempt from FLSA requirements and is non-bargaining. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Nov. 13.
