Job description

COMPANY PROFILE Diversified Energy Company is a U.S.-based independent energy company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker symbol "DEC." Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Diversified acquires, operates and optimizes long-life natural gas and oil assets, supported by integrated midstream and marketing operations.

Our disciplined approach focuses on improving the environmental and operational performance of the assets we operate and, at the end of their productive lives, retiring them safely and responsibly. With field operations across major energy-producing regions of the United States, our teams are committed to safe, efficient and responsible operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

& RESPONSIBILITIES: Diversified Energy is hiring a Senior Reservoir Engineer to serve as the lead reservoir engineer for our operated development program in the Western Anadarko Basin (Camino). You will own the subsurface work behind a one-rig operated drilling program, from well inventory and type curves through spacing decisions, well economics and post-drill lookbacks.

The role also covers WAB non-operated evaluations, reservoir characterization and base production optimization for the asset, and contributes to DEC's Long Range Planning and Value Acceleration effort to monetize undeveloped acreage. You will work closely with geoscience, drilling and completions, operations, land, finance and capital markets, and present recommendations directly to senior management.

This role offers significant responsibility in a dynamic environment where development decisions, lender requests, and reserves deadlines often overlap. We are seeking someone who thrives on managing multiple priorities and is energized by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business. Special focus will be placed on: Operated development (Camino, WAB) Serve as the lead reservoir engineer for the operated drilling program, owning the development inventory, well ranking and drilling schedule inputs.

Build and maintain type curves, PUD forecasts and development economics in ARIES, and defend the assumptions behind them. Lead well spacing, stacking and parent-child interference analysis to set development design and protect existing producers. Partner with geoscience on landing zones and target selection, and with drilling and completions on completion design, flowback and drawdown plans.

Run post-drill lookbacks comparing actual results to forecast, and feed the learnings back into type curves and the next wells. Provide development inputs for annual budgeting, long range planning and capital allocation decisions. Financing, reserves and lender support Prepare and respond to data requests from drilling partners and lenders, including Drill.

Co and bank requests, with accurate and well documented support. Supply WAB forecasts and reserves inputs for the corporate reserves cycle, RBL redeterminations and audit review. Non-operated and asset management (WAB) Evaluate non-operated AFEs and elections, including completion design review, and recommend participate, non-consent or farmout decisions.

Track offset operator activity and results and fold them into DEC's development view. Support base production optimization, surveillance and workover evaluation with field operations. Reservoir characterization and value acceleration Use rate transient analysis and production analytics to understand key production drivers and quantify subsurface risk.

Help quantify and accelerate monetization of undeveloped acreage through development, JVs, farmouts or divestiture. Present technical and economic recommendations to management, and represent DEC with partners and operators. Mentor early career engineers and analysts and review their work. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

7 or more years of reservoir engineering experience, including direct support of an operated horizontal development program, flowback optimization and production surveillance. Hands-on experience with type curve generation, completion optimization, well spacing and parent-child analysis, and development economics. Experience in more than one basin, reservoir type or depletion mechanism.

Mastery of ARIES, with strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL or Access. Sound working knowledge of SEC reserves classification, decline curve analysis and petroleum economics. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines and support recommendations with documented sources and defensible assumptions.

Strong written communication and presentation skills, including presenting to senior management and outside partners. Office Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer. Periodic travel, with recurring deadlines around reserves cycles, budget input, lender requests and election windows.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Preferred Qualifications

Anadarko Basin experience (SCOOP, STACK or Western Anadarko). Experience supporting Drill. Co, JV or other development financing structures, including lender and partner data rooms. Rate transient analysis and reservoir characterization experience; reservoir simulation a plus. Familiarity with Enverus, whitson+, S&P IHS, Petra, Spotfire and Danomics.

Familiarity with Python, SQL or other coding skills to automate forecasting and data workflows. Experience with acquisitions, divestitures or farmout evaluations. Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
