Purpose: To prepare and serve safe nutritious meals and snacks for children while following food safety standards and meeting individual dietary needs.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and serve nutritious meals Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas Store and label food properly Monitor and order food inventory Wash dishes and sanitize cooking equipment and surfaces Requirements: High school diploma or GED Experience in food service, cooking or kitchen work Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (either have or gain Food Manager Certification within 15 days of hire).
