Substitute Pool - Journey Mechanic

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director-Transportation, perform skilled and semiskilled mechanical work in the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of a variety of large and small diesel, gas and alternative fueled vehicles and equipment; perform required inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing of vehicles.

/ Qualifications Certification (Completion of apprenticeship program) Driver's License Copy (Valid or Class A or B Driver's License) Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent) Comments and Other Information Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI, proof of being cleared of Tuberculosis are required prior to starting employment.
