JOB PURPOSE: To produce a quality product by means of consistent Extruder feed and Product Packaging. While working together in a Team Environment and ensure all insulation products are packaged correctly and meet all customers’ requirements and specifications according to written and verbal instructions. Ability to be fluid within Packaging and Extrusion job functions in both Sheet Line and TCV departments.

SHEET LINE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Must have visual observation and manual dexterity when packing product into cardboard boxes and ensure print is legible and boxes are properly assembled and labeled. 2.Must assemble, prepare, label and stage boxes for finish product. 3.Must be able to maneuver and use a manual pallet jack to transport and set Sheet Roll Master Rolls.

4.Must be able to follow directions and work well with others in a team-like setting. 5.Must maintain a clear trim area, change, and replace scrap bags. Weigh, record and tag each Trim Bag with the correct information. 6.You must perform necessary machinery adjustments to ensure a quality product is being processed. 7.

Verbally communicates with team members to prevent and correct quality related issues using company telephones and intercom system, if necessary. 8.Must have a high degree of mental competence to make decisions quickly and react to problems when they occur. 9.Uses a high degree of attention and concentration to maintain quality and consistency of the product.

TCV PACKAGING ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Must have visual observation and manual dexterity when packaging the product into cardboard boxes and ensure print is legible and boxes are labeled and stamped. 2.Must assemble, prepare, label and stage boxes for finish product. 3.Must be able to pack two lines simultaneously depending on the speed or size of the tubes.

4.Must have visual observation and high level of concentration to ensure product being pack is not damage while being place in the box or SSPT bin. 5.When packing SSPT material, locking pins or zip ties must be placed in divider bars to avoid tube damage during transportation. 6.Communicate quality issues (talc, ID, wall, skin) to line operator as needed.

7.Must have a high degree of mental competence to make decisions quickly and react to problems when they occur. 8.Verbally communicates with Packaging Team members to maintain an efficient process flow. Also, verbally communicate with Extrusion Team members to prevent and correct quality related issues. 9.Uses a high degree of attention and concentration to inspect the quality and consistency of the Insulation Product while packaging.

EXTRUDER OPERATOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Must use mechanical skills and knowledge to help set-up extruder. 2.Must have visual observation and manual dexterity when feeding compound and extrudate in the extruder, moving, and switching mill buggies. 3.Must have visual observation and manual dexterity when maintaining proper talc level and consistent talc flow.

(TCV only) 4.Must perform routinely talc inspections, mark and announce any talc holes using intercom system. (TCV only) 5.Must have a high degree of mental competence to make decisions quickly and react to problems when they occur. 6.Must have a high degree of mental competence to organize batches by MCR, MaxP, or ML.

7.Verbally communicates with team members to prevent and correct quality related issues using company telephones and intercom system. 8.Use a high degree of attention and concentration to maintain the quality and consistency of the product. 9.Must have reading, writing and basic math skills to set temperatures, adjust speeds and document all information to ensure that the product is processed correctly to meet customer specifications according to written and verbal instructions.
