Essential Duties

& Responsibilities:  IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware Design, implementation, and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, File Server etc.  The use of VMware technologies to design and maintain our virtualization infrastructure utilizing best practices.

 Experience with setting up iSCSI /Fiber SAN, replications and new VMware infrastructure setup.  Experience in Setup LAN/WAN network including Vlans, switch stacking, redundant firewalls.  Engineer and implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs Implement and support disaster recovery solutions Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and security.

 Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages  Support of VMWare, EMC, Data Domain, etc.

 Keeps abreast of new technologies and principles by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.

 Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.  Performs other duties as required. Page 2 of 3 Position Classification & Description VM Ware Engineer Revised July 2018 Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus five (5) years’ work experience in Virtual Environment with a strong background in Networking.

A VCP certificate required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must meet all knowledge, skills and abilities. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Navajo preference. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Knowledge and experience with VMware , v.

Center and VMware 5.5 & up  Knowledge and progressive experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012, Active Directory domain and Exchange preferred.  Knowledge and experience administering MS Windows systems required.  Knowledge and industry certifications (MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Vmware VCP, CompTIA, CISSP, LPI, Cisco, etc)  Knowledge and experience with Cisco Firewalls.

 Knowledge of all Server Operating Systems.  Knowledge of types of Network Equipment.  Knowledge of design of WAN/LAN.  Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and basic arithmetic.  Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

 Skill in planning, organizing and coordinating information technologies and prioritizing work activities in accordance with established goals and objectives.  Project management skills.  Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations.  Skill in budget preparation and administration.

 Skill in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational, technical and financial reports.  Ability to identify systems, operation, technical or applications problems and to initiate and recommend appropriate corrective actions.  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.

 Ability to maintain confidentiality.  Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.  Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.  Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.  Ability to make solid decisions and exercise independent judgment.

Physical Demands: Page 3 of 3 Position Classification & Description VM Ware Engineer Revised July 2018 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is may be required to sit for prolonged periods, walk; stand; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory and verbal communications skills.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Occasional work is performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a moderate noise level. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.

Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Travel may be required.
