Senior Python Developer Hyderabad, India Full-time Experience: 8+ Years Shift Hours 7 PM -4 AM IST (US Central Shift Hours) Mandatory Skills: Python, Web Services (REST/SOAP), PL/SQL, Jasper Reports Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with over 8 years of IT experience to join our development team in Hyderabad.
The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in Python and Web Services, which are critical requirements for this role. Experience with PL/SQL and Jasper Reports is highly desirable. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Python. Develop, consume, and integrate RESTful/SOAP Web Services for seamless system integration. Write efficient and optimized PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. Design and maintain Jasper Reports based on business requirements.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams to understand functional and technical requirements. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with minimal downtime. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer when required.
Required Skills
8+ years of hands-on experience in software development. Strong expertise in Python (Mandatory). Extensive experience in developing and integrating Web Services (REST/SOAP) (Mandatory). Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, including stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and performance tuning. Experience with Jasper Reports development and customization.
Strong understanding of relational databases, preferably Oracle. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and application optimization. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Python frameworks such as Flask or Django. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
