Apprentice Process Technology AKR

Job Details: Job Location: Roechling Automotive Akron

• Akron, OH, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Learn and assist with setup, startup, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Support Process Technicians and Engineers in maintaining efficient manufacturing processes. Assist with machine parameter adjustments to meet quality and production goals. Participate in mold changeovers, process validations, and production startups. Learn scientific molding principles and process optimization techniques. Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process-related issues. Monitor product quality and assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. Learn to work with automation systems, robots, and material handling equipment.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or GED. Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn a skilled trade. Must be willing to return to school and complete required technical coursework as part of the apprenticeship program. Ability to commit to a structured 3-4 year apprenticeship program. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Reliable transportation to both work and educational training locations. Preferred: Technical school coursework or vocational training. Manufacturing experience. Experience with injection molding, machinery, or industrial equipment. Basic troubleshooting or mechanical repair experience.
