Child Care Worker - Full-Time

Child Care Worker Full-Time Cartwright School District's motto is" We are Cartwright. We are Growing Together!" JOB GOAL Incumbents are responsible for providing quality childcare and instruction in a day care setting and may be responsible for adhering to ADHS codes and statutes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint card and the TB test, and First Aid/CPR, and Food Handlers Card High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) 6 months experience in a licensed child care or Preschool facility PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Monitoring and assisting children with activities. Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc.

sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. Provides care and instruction to promote academic and social/emotional growth. Monitors children's behavior and safety inside and outside of the classroom. Assists with clean-up and other related tasks following daily activities. Prepares classroom for activities, including creating lessons and preparing materials.

Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents and may make copies. May attend in-service training sessions. Covers classrooms when there are staff absences Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Incumbents may be subjected to blood and other body fluids. Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Knowledge of applicable Cartwright School District and departmental policies and procedures. Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills. Monitoring and assisting children with activities.
