Metro Water Recovery in Denver, CO - a nationally recognized leader among clean water utilities, provides wastewater conveyance and treatment services for 2 million people who live and work within our 715-square mile service area. Metro Water Recovery is the wastewater treatment authority for much of metropolitan Denver and parts of northern Colorado. We collect about 130 million gallons of wastewater per day from neighborhood sewer lines and remove more than 95 percent of the pollutants before discharging it into the South Platte River.  We make wastewater suitable for agriculture, aquatic life, industrial use, water supply and recreation.  ​

Metro Water Recovery

Performs engineering work requiring the exercise of sound judgment and a working knowledge of environmental regulations and engineering principles to support Metro’s environmental compliance programs under applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and policies. Performs engineering and regulatory analyses and prepares technical documentation to ensure that Metro facilities and operations remain in compliance with all applicable environmental requirements.

Works under the general direction of the Senior Environmental Compliance Engineering Manager or a Principal Environmental Compliance Engineer.
