Principal Financial Planning Analyst

As a Principal Financial Planning Analyst at Ubisoft Montreal, reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will serve as the senior finance business partner for one or more brands, franchises, and production teams. You will combine financial planning and analysis, strategic business partnership, people management, and cross-studio coordination to support financial performance and long-term business planning.
You will also help maintain consistent financial practices across the Creative House. What you’ll do Guide budget and forecast preparation and develop long-range financial plans for Ubisoft brands; Assess project performance, costs, and profitability and identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations; Develop business plans, investment cases, and financial scenarios that support franchise and portfolio strategies; Partner with production teams, brand management, and executives to provide financial guidance throughout the project lifecycle; Prepare and present quarterly business reviews (QBRs), executive reports, and performance insights; Develop, monitor, and continuously improve financial and operational key performance indicators (KPIs); Standardize financial planning and analysis processes, planning methods, and reporting practices across studios; Serve as the main financial planning contact for other Creative Houses and corporate stakeholders; Guide cross-functional initiatives with Production Intelligence, Workforce Planning, Finance, and other support teams; Manage, coach, and develop finance professionals while maintaining high-quality financial support and business partnership.
What you bring to the team Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Bring substantial experience in financial planning and analysis, finance business partnering, strategic finance, or business planning; Manage and develop finance professionals through clear guidance and constructive feedback; Build financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business cases that support business planning; Interpret complex financial information and develop practical solutions; Communicate and present clearly to executive stakeholders; Work effectively in a matrixed, multi-studio environment; Apply sound business judgment when evaluating priorities, risks, and opportunities; Collaborate across functions while showing initiative and supporting continuous improvement.
