Position title Assistant Coach

• Wrestling Description Richmond County Public Schools is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as Assistant Coach for the Wrestling program at Rappahannock High School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for wrestling, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Maintain and help to lead the Wrestling program. Foster positive communication with parents, athletes, and potential athletes. Assist with coordinating off-season camps and conditioning programs. Encourage good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport. Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athlete development. Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Richmond County Public Schools. Knows and understands the basic volleyball rules and regulations Reports To: Athletic Director and Principal Qualifications: Prior coaching experience. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and a demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals.

Required Skills

& Abilities: Language: Ability to read and interpret professional materials, complete forms, write reports, and communicate effectively. Reasoning: Problem-solving and ability to follow written, oral, and diagrammed instructions. Other Abilities: Ability to identify student needs and build effective relationships with students, staff, administrators, and parents.

Physical Demands: Ability to communicate in a busy environment, move around gymnasiums, and read materials. Attendance: Regular attendance, including frequent evening and weekend work, is required.
