More about our team This Acute Care position includes a mix of Med/Surg and Telemetry patients. Typical staffing ratio: 1:6 Meditech experience preferred Minimum 36 hours/week, including every other weekend How you’ll contribute A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role: Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication. Documents patient care provided. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. What we’re looking for Applicants must have an active Virginia LPN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Graduate from a school of practical nursing required. Additional requirements include: AHA BLS certification required. Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
