Anticipated Personnel Secretary
Job description
Essential Responsibilities Coordinate and process paperwork for new hires, including employment forms, onboarding documentation, and required acknowledgments. Obtain, track, and maintain required clearances and background checks for new and current employees. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, both electronic and paper.
Monitor expiration dates for employee clearances, certifications, licenses, and other required documentation. Enter and update employee information in HR and personnel systems. Assist employees with routine questions regarding personnel paperwork. Coordinate employment verifications and other personnel record requests as appropriate.
Perform other administrative and personnel-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in human resources or business administration preferred. Previous administrative, human resources, personnel, or office experience preferred. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented approach.
