At Hotel Duval , we don't believe in ordinary hospitality. As a proud member of Marriott's Autograph Collection and voted Best Hotel in Tallahassee four years in a row , we've built our reputation on exceptional experiences, attention to detail, and a team that takes pride in being the best.
Now, we're looking for a Part-Time Night Auditor who understands that a successful day doesn't begin at sunrise. It begins the night before. THE ROLE: BEHIND EVERY GREAT DAY IS A GREAT NIGHT Our Night Auditor is much more than the person who watches over the hotel overnight. You're the person who brings yesterday to a successful close and makes sure tomorrow gets off to an exceptional start.
You're equal parts problem-solver, planner, perfectionist, and hospitality professional . You take satisfaction in knowing that when your teammates arrive in the morning, everything is organized, accurate, and ready for success. Your work may happen behind the scenes, but its impact is felt throughout the entire hotel.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prepare arrivals, review reservations, anticipate guest needs, and organize critical information for the morning team. Own the Details: Reconcile transactions, balance daily reports, complete night audit procedures, and ensure financial accuracy. Think One Step Ahead: Identify potential challenges before they become problems and help develop solutions before the next shift arrives.
Deliver Exceptional Hospitality: Provide warm, personalized service to our overnight guests, handling requests and unexpected situations with confidence and professionalism. Be the Overnight Difference-Maker: Serve as a dependable point of contact for guests while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environment.
Make Every Handoff Count: Communicate clearly with the incoming team so they can begin each day informed, prepared, and confident. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We believe the right personality and mindset are just as important as experience. Our ideal candidate is someone who: Has an incredible eye for detail. Little things don't slip past you.
Is a natural planner. You enjoy organizing, preparing, and thinking ahead. Takes ownership. You don't just complete a checklist; you understand why each task matters. Thrives independently. You're dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable making sound decisions. Loves a job well done. There's something satisfying about leaving everything better than you found it.
Cares about people. Even at 3 a.m., genuine hospitality matters. Is comfortable with numbers and technology. Accuracy, organization, and problem-solving come naturally to you. Previous Marriott experience and familiarity with Opera PMS are ideal, but absolutely not required. We're willing to invest in someone who brings the right attitude, attention to detail, and desire to learn.
WHY HOTEL DUVAL? This isn't just another overnight hotel position. It's an opportunity to become an important part of one of Tallahassee's most recognized hospitality teams.
