Per Diem Representative Patient Account

Responsible for various activities related to the patient registration process, collection of demographic, financial and insurance information. Screens patients prior to services being rendered, collects co-pays, and refers Self Pay patients to appropriate financial services when needed. Enters data accurately and ensures prompt service to all patients.

Acts as a liaison for other ancillary departments within the hospital. Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of previous work related experience, bilingual preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Work requires communication skills needed to frequently answer telephone calls and work with multiple interruptions and still sustain positive communication.

For employees assigned to provide services within the Cardiology Department in Totowa, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders, flexibility and availability are required based on patient volume, staffing needs, and operational demands. Employees may be required to provide support across applicable outpatient offices, clinical practices, or other locations within the healthcare system as needed to support Cardiology services.
