  6. We celebrate life. PURPOSE OF POSITION To provide the opportunity to catalyze Kingdom transformation on campus by sharing the Gospel and inviting students into the life of the local church. Develop deep relationships with students that promote strong biblical discipleship, life long commitment to the Church, and the flourishing of Christ’s kingdom in their local context and all areas of life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizational Responsibilities Attend National and Regional CCO Gatherings. (i.e. Summer Conference, Cultivate, Fall Retreat, and Jubilee) CMSI Program Launch (virtual): July 1 + 2, 2027 CCO Summer Conference: Third week in July, 2027 Participate in the monthly national CMSI Training Call via Zoom. Complete ministry strategy assignments and training artifacts that partner with on-campus ministry experience.

Meet weekly with campus intern supervisor, or Campus Staff Mentor. Diligently perform fundraising behaviors in support of meeting 100% of campus goals and initiatives. Assist in administrative duties as assigned. Campus Responsibilities Engage Be knowledgeable of and collaborative in the execution of the campus ministry plan in line with the 5E’s Campus Ministry Strategy .

Make contact with students, following up with them and inviting students into ministry opportunities. Assist in the planning and execution of student events that create environments for connection. Evangelize Commit to praying for not-yet Christians on campus and in the community. Assist in the creation of events/environments where students will hear the gospel.

Lead and/or participate in evangelism conversations with students inviting them to know and follow Jesus. Establish Assist in the facilitation of gatherings of students on campus throughout the week that include prayer, teaching, evangelism, leadership development, and applying Scripture to life in college and beyond.

Regularly invite students into the life of the local church. Equip Invite students to become student leaders within the CCO. Assist in the facilitation of student leadership development on campus. Embody Invite students regularly to CCO’s Jubilee conference and other transformative opportunities. Assist in the facilitation of events that model the Jubilee Vision for campus and beyond.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Currently enrolled as a college student. Must have completed 1 year of college at the start of internship Experience Served as a student leader on campus in some capacity in an organization or club. Skill Set Able to organize and prioritize time properly. Collaborates with teams. Manages competing priorities and tasks in a timely manner.

Displays initiative and can work independently. Ability to engage a wide range of audiences. Desire to learn, grow, and mentor others. Spiritual Health Values worship in a local church, prayer, Scripture study, and other spiritual disciplines. Personal Conduct Displays personal conduct consistent with CCO Statement of Faith, Core Values and the CCO employee handbook.

Professional Growth Be open to professional development opportunities approved by the internship supervisor, schedule permitting. Work Value Demonstrates a passion for the Gospel, the church, and college students. Proactive in preparation and timely in response. Encourages the growth and development of others.
