Job description
THK Manufacturing of America, Inc. in Hebron, Ohio, is seeking a Project Engineer to support manufacturing projects, process improvements, and equipment development. What You’ll Do As a Project Engineer, you will develop, coordinate, and execute manufacturing projects from concept through completion.
This hands-on role combines engineering, project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and systems used in industrial machinery. Coordinate manufacturing projects, establish timelines, monitor progress, and communicate updates to management.
Analyze workflows, equipment layouts, and space utilization to improve efficiency and support process innovation. Prepare Manufacturing Orders in support of production scheduling and ensure they are processed accurately and on time. Develop project proposals, technical documentation, Bills of Materials, and other engineering reports.
Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and recommend effective short- and long-term solutions. Partner with Engineering, Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, and other departments to keep projects aligned and moving forward. Coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution. Confirm material availability and visually verify inventory on the production floor when needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree or associates in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of engineering principles and production scheduling practices.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Interest in continuous improvement and developing practical solutions. Why Join THK?
