Material Handler 2nd shift

Manthei Wood Products is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler – 2nd Shift to join our shipping team. This role is responsible for safely moving, staging, and loading finished products to support accurate and on-time shipments. The ideal candidate has previous forklift and manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and enjoys hands-on work as part of a fast-paced production and shipping team.

This is a full-time 2nd shift position, Monday

• Thursday, 3pm - 1 am or Monday
• Friday 2pm - 10pm. Overtime opportunities may be available on Fridays and Saturdays based on production needs. What You’ll Do Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks according to load plans as needed Transport finished products and pallets from production areas to designated staging and shipping areas Stack and organize pallets safely and efficiently Inspect finished products for quality concerns before shipment Verify product counts, grades, labels, and order accuracy Band, wrap, and secure loads to prepare products for shipment Complete basic shipping paperwork and inventory documentation as needed Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain clean, safe operating equipment Maintain clean and organized shipping and staging areas Communicate shipping, product, or inventory concerns to the appropriate team members Work collaboratively with production and shipping teams to meet daily goals and shipping deadlines Attendance is a necessary job function Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines Cross-train and perform other production-related duties as needed What We’re Looking For Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment 2–3 years of forklift operating experience; in-house certification available Experience with material handling, shipping, or warehouse operations preferred Basic math and measurement skills Ability to read and understand shipping paperwork, product labels, and load information Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy Ability to safely move, stack, and organize materials Good communication and teamwork skills Dependable and punctual with reliable attendance Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to regularly lift up to 50–75 pounds Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas as needed Work Environment: Manufacturing, production, and shipping environment Regular operation of forklifts and material handling equipment Work around moving equipment, trucks, finished products, and production machinery Exposure to wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures Fast-paced, hands-on work involving frequent material movement Physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and material handling Why Join Us: Consistent four-day, 2nd shift work schedule Hands-on role supporting shipping and production operations Opportunity to use and expand your forklift and material handling skills Play an important role in ensuring customers receive accurate and on-time shipments Be part of a collaborative and growing wood products operation To learn more about the company and the products we make, please visit www.mantheiwoodproducts.com Manthei Wood Products is an equal opportunity employer; everyone is encouraged to apply.
