PT Direct Support Professional

Job Details: Salary Range: Undisclosed, PART TIME BENEFITS: Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual for part time employees working 6 months prior to September 15 lookback, 403b Retirement Plan, Double Time for most holidays JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide direct support to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
• Be able to work as a team member, follow directions, and agree to supervision by Residential Advisor
• Be able to carry out the mission and support the values of the Emmaus Community
• To enter into respectful and meaningful relationships with the residents
• Menu planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation (special diets must be followed)
• Medication administration
• Assist with medical appointments
• Assist with personal hygiene
• Help to develop and carry out goals/outcomes and implement ISPs as written; appropriate documentation
• Attend staff meetings as required
• Participate in Community celebrations such as birthday parties and holidays
• Maintain compliance with all State and County mandated regulations
• To plan and provide residents with opportunities for socialization and recreation both at home and out in the community
• Helps with the upkeep and maintenance of the home and the residents rooms and belongings
• Conducts and records monthly fire drills
• Assists residents with money management, and follows strict policies on protecting and safeguarding client and agency funds

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: GED/ HS Diploma or above Driver’s License Act 34 clearance & FBI clearance Physical w/ mantoux prior to date of hire Experience is helpful, but not required; training is provided
