Pay Rate: $23 per hour - $25.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time | Part-time | On- Call Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Work Location: In-person Position Overview We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-service-oriented Hotel Concierge Security Officer to join our team at a hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate will have previous security experience in a hotel environment , strong communication skills, and a professional presence. Candidates with prior concierge, guest services, front desk, or luxury hospitality experience are highly preferred, but luxury hotel experience is not required. The Hotel Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, visitors, employees, and property while providing a welcoming and professional level of service.

Schedule Flexible availability required Swing Shift Weekends Holidays Part-time Additional/on-call availability may be required based on hotel needs Shifts: Day: 6am to 230pm Swing: 2pm to 1030pm Grave: 10pm to 630am Responsibilities Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for hotel guests, employees, and visitors Patrol hotel guest areas, entrances, parking areas, hallways, common areas, and other assigned locations Monitor hotel property and respond promptly to security concerns, incidents, and emergencies Enforce hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations in a professional and courteous manner Provide professional guest assistance while maintaining appropriate security procedures Respond to guest concerns and security-related requests Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, unauthorized access, and security concerns Assist with emergency situations and coordinate with law enforcement, fire department, medical personnel, and other emergency responders when necessary Conduct regular security checks and maintain awareness of activity throughout the property Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation Monitor access points and assist with controlling unauthorized entry when necessary Handle sensitive guest and hotel information with professionalism and discretion Assist hotel management and staff with security-related matters Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times Qualifications Previous experience working as a Security Officer in a hotel is required Valid BSIS Guard Card required Valid Driver's License required High school diploma or GED preferred Previous hotel, hospitality, guest services, or concierge experience strongly preferred Previous luxury hotel or upscale hospitality experience is preferred but not required Strong customer service and communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to interact respectfully with hotel guests, VIPs, employees, and management Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or difficult situations Strong observation and report-writing skills Ability to work independently and as part of a hotel team Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and swing shifts Preferred Certifications Pepper Spray Certification Baton Permit Handcuff Certification What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate understands that hotel concierge security is about more than simply protecting property .

You will be expected to provide a high level of professionalism and customer service while maintaining a secure environment. Candidates with a background in hotel security and concierge or guest services are especially encouraged to apply.
