About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Services & AI Engineer to join our Data Services team at NTU. This role is suited for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on development, working on real‑world data and Generative AI (GenAI) platforms, and learning under the guidance of senior technical leaders. You will contribute to the design, build, and support of data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making and innovation across NTU.

The role focuses on solution delivery and operational reliability, with opportunities to deepen your technical skills in data, cloud, and AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, configure and maintain data pipelines, data platforms, and AI components based on approved architectures and standards. Implement analytics and Generative AI solutions following established patterns, security, and governance requirements. Contribute to project delivery across design, build, testing, deployment, and operational handover phases.

Support production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. Apply data governance, security, and privacy controls as defined in solution designs and policies. Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business users to clarify requirements and deliver solutions. Continuously develop technical skills and contribute improvement ideas to enhance platforms and processes.

What We’re Looking For Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience At least 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, or Generative AI solution delivery. Experience building, deploying, or supporting production data or AI solutions.

Experience working in project teams under senior technical guidance. Technical Skills Hands-on experience in data and AI engineering (e.g., AI-assisted development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, data pipelines, data integration, and data modelling using tools such as Denodo and Snowflake). Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Working understanding of data governance, security, and privacy principles. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support production systems. Collaborative and accountable, able to communicate clearly and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
