Responsibilities

The Jorgensen Family YMCA and Jackson R. Lehman YMCA are seeking part-time Masters Swim Team Coaches to work with adult swimmers (18+) of diverse skill levels, helping them develop their abilities throughout the swim season. Connect: Build effective authentic relationships with members, swim participants and parents. Nurture: Ensure a safe and positive environment for the swim team participants.

Lead: Plan, direct, and attend all swim team practices, meets, and functions.

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school graduate or equivalent. Must have previous experience with competitive swimming as a coach and/or swimmer. Certification from the YMCA or other accredited association preferred (i.

e., LGI and YMCA PYAL, etc.) or the willingness to become certified. Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills. Excellent human relations skills and enthusiasm. Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Part-time, $12.50-$13.00 hourly Hours Available: Practice: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00am-7:15am Availability 1 Saturday every 1-2 months 7:10am -8:30am Pool Location: Jorgensen Family YMCA, 10313 Aboite Center Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46804
