Janitor – Choices Markets Commissary

Choices Markets Commissary is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to help keep our food production facility clean, safe, and organized.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize floors, work areas, washrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Collect garbage and recycling, and keep disposal areas clean and organized. Clean production equipment, carts, racks, and trays as assigned, following approved procedures. Support dishwashing and keep the dishwashing area clean and organized.

Refill soap, paper towels, and other sanitation supplies. Use and store cleaning chemicals safely, following instructions and food safety requirements. Complete daily and scheduled cleaning tasks and maintain cleaning records. Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, and signs of pest activity. Work with production and receiving teams to keep walkways and work areas clear.

Qualifications

Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Experience in a food production facility is an asset. Ability to follow cleaning procedures and chemical safety instructions. Comfortable working in a busy environment, including cooler and freezer areas as required. Able to stand for extended periods, bend, push carts, and safely handle cleaning equipment.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. WHMIS training is an asset; job-specific training will be provided. Schedule: one day on the weekend - afternoon shift Wage: To be confirmed, based on experience. To apply, please submit your resume and availability.
