CONTROLLER The Controller is responsible for: Provide timely and accurate cost analysis, sound financial advice and counsel to mill management Prepare the annual budget and required forecasts; provide analysis and interpretation of financial and statistical data to operating management Lead continuous improvement efforts in area of responsibility, including developing and implementing systems and processes to support streamlined, accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis Engage in the operations side of the business as a member of the mill leadership team and provide guidance and counsel regarding financial implications Lead the monthly closing process to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided for both corporate financial reporting and mill cost control Provide effective leadership to mill finance team, including coaching and development to ensure strong team and individual performance Monitor and reconcile inventories and establish proper reserves Monitor capital spending versus plan and forecast; approve all capital AR’s. Ensure application of established financial controls by effective implementation and maintenance of financial policies/processes and instructions Qualifications: Requirements: 8+ years in Finance / Accounting roles, 3+ years leading a team of Finance / Accounting professionals, and 3–5+ years in Manufacturing Accounting; understanding and ability to implement necessary internal controls Bachelor’s Degree (Finance/Accounting preferred); CPA/MBA/CMA preferred ERP system experience; Intermediate/Advanced MS Office Self-directed, takes initiative, is committed and able to work with and influence others What we offer: Competitive base salary with bonus potential.
