Emergency Medical Technician

Job Summary

Primarily responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established protocols, Hereford Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Policies and Department Guidelines. Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, HRMC Policies and Department Guidelines at all times.

Accepts other tasks as assigned by the EMS Director. Committed to excellence through the continuous improvement of the quality of services delivered. Creates and maintains a culture to continuously improve patient and employee satisfaction. Regulatory Requirements: Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction “A” permissible Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.
