Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist Champion Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our Team in Athens, AL. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working with financial records, invoices, payments, and account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable , including vendor invoices, customer payments, and reconciliations Manage billing and invoicing , ensuring accuracy and timely processing Maintain and update the chart of accounts and post appropriate journal entries Assist with preparation and review of P&L statements and other financial reports Process employee payroll to include collecting and reviewing time data and calculating wages, salaries, taxes, bonuses, and deductions Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain organized financial records and documentation Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial data and reporting Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial statements Experience working with P&L statements and chart of accounts Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (or similar tools) Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to manage deadlines and work independently Excellent organizational and communication skills What We Offer Competitive compensation starting at $33,000/year based on experience Performance-based incentives Health, Dental, and Vision benefits Paid Vacation Paid Holidays 5-day work week (closed on Saturday & Sunday) Supportive team culture and professional work environment If you’re a reliable accounting professional who enjoys keeping the numbers accurate and the books clean, we’d love to hear from you.
