Lab Dispatcher

The Lab Dispatcher follows protocols and procedures to ensure orders for services are delivered to and acknowledged by field personnel in a manner that supports service fulfillment within established turnaround standards. Core tasks include route planning, assigning exams to phlebotomists, assigning STAT orders, assigning bulk orders, dispatching orders, communicating with phlebotomists and updating orders in the LIS, closing out orders as completed, etc.

This position consistently conveys all communications in a patient, professional, courteous and helpful manner emphasizing the appropriate urgency when interacting with customers, field staff, couriers and other departmental members.
