Head Coach Unified Track and Field

Unified Track and Field Team Head Coach Hempfield High School Job Summary: Oversee the administration of the high school's Unified Track and Field team which is composed of a proportional number of students who are Special Olympics-eligible (defined as students with an intellectual disability, cognitive delay, or developmental disability) and students without intellectual disabilities.

Position Information: Part-time, no benefits 2026-2027 Salary - $600 2 practices per week, 1 home meet, and 2 away meets with an estimated 40 hours for the season Roles & Responsibilities: Liaison regularly with the school's athletic director and Special Olympics Pennsylvania to ensure quality program standards are being met.

Develop and implement practice plans in which track and field instruction and coaching is provided to all participants. Impart the philosophy of a positive inclusive sports experience by following the principles of Unified Sports�. Provide guidance and manage team strategies at Unified Track and Field competitions. Recruit a proportional number of students who are Special Olympics-eligible.

Handle any paperwork or administrative duties required by the school district and/or Special Olympics Pennsylvania. If serving as a host site for a Unified Track and Field competition, recruit volunteers to help conduct and manage the events.
