Business Development Manager

• UK FMCG Location: UK-wide, field-based with hybrid flexibility by agreement Salary: £28,000-£40,000 basic, depending on experience Bonus: Quarterly performance bonus of up to one month's basic salary Benefits: Company car or car allowance; 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays Contract: Initial 12-month contract with a three-month probation period Hours: 40 hours per week About the opportunity LT Selection is recruiting on behalf of a confidential, established UK FMCG business. The role combines new-business development with account management across a national territory. You will win new customers, grow existing relationships, understand customer requirements, prepare forecasts and help deliver sustainable commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

Develop new-business opportunities and win new customers Build, manage and grow long-term customer relationships Understand customer requirements and propose suitable commercial solutions Manage key accounts and identify further growth opportunities Plan and manage a UK-wide territory effectively Prepare accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports Monitor market activity, pricing trends and competitor movements Work closely with internal teams to provide excellent customer service Essential experience and skills At least three years' field-sales experience A strong track record in new-business development and account management Commercial negotiation skills and sound commercial awareness Strong territory-planning and time-management skills Confident presentation and communication skills A full UK driving licence Desirable experience Experience in FMCG, food or protein sectors is highly desirable.

Knowledge of commodity markets would also be advantageous.
