This role helps maintain accurate medical records and supports efficient patient visits and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Document patient encounters, medical histories, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions during physician visits. Enter physician orders for medications, imaging, and laboratory tests. Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records. Schedule and coordinate new, follow-up, and rescheduled appointments.

Manage patient waitlists and contact patients about earlier appointment availability. Document reasons when follow-up appointments cannot be scheduled. Maintain patient confidentiality and support daily clinical operations.

Qualifications

Required High school diploma or GED. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software. Ability to accurately document and transcribe patient encounters. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to protecting confidential patient information. Preferred At least one year of Medical Scribe experience or related healthcare experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
