• Identify food producers and negotiate competitive purchasing conditions.
• Visit suppliers in different ports to develop collaborative purchasing arrangements.
• Establish and coordinate a global food procurement network.
• Identify opportunities to optimise purchasing costs and supply chains.
• Purchase directly from food producers wherever possible.
• Encourage suppliers to contribute their purchasing volumes.
• Negotiate better prices through consolidated purchasing.
• Demonstrate the commercial benefits of purchasing through the network.
