Director of Preconstruction

As our Director of Preconstruction, you'll ean a competitive salary of $150,000-$185,000 per year, depending on experience, plus anannual bonustied to margin performance on the jobs you estimate, acompany vehicleandfuel card, and the opportunity to take your career to the executive level as the company continues to expand. DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?

• Valid driver's license
• 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or underground utility construction
• Federal bid experience, including USACE projects
• Experience building estimates from production rates, not just unit pricing
• Ability to obtain military base access

Experience with HCSS HeavyBid is strongly preferred.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A DIRECTOR OF PRECONSTRUCTION?

This is a full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work required around bid deadlines.

As Director of Preconstruction, you'll review production-driven estimates for a major water or sewer project and collaborate with your Project Administrator and Project Engineer to prepare upcoming bids. You'll manage the bid calendar, attend pre-bid meetings and site walks across North Carolina and South Carolina, evaluate project opportunities, and provide bid/no-bid recommendations directly to ownership. You'll also build and refine estimating tools, cost databases, equipment rates, templates, and processes that strengthen operational performance.
