Property Maintenance - 32 hours a week

Job title Property Maintenance Reports to Director of Operations Supervises N/A Summary: Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of property owned by The First Step Home, Inc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the daily maintenance services of First Step Home property including the interior and exterior lighting, safety equipment and the exterior of these buildings. Responsible for the daily pick-up of litter around all properties. Responsible for assisting during special events and the holiday season. Responsible for responding to custodial related emergencies in a safe and timely manner.

Responsible for reporting all maintenance issues to the Director of Operations for scheduling repairs. Responsible for ensuring all lighting is in operating order in all houses and buildings. Responsible for monthly facility inspection reports to the Director of Operations Responsible for the following tasks: Painting/Skimming.

Plumbing. Ensuring grounds are presentable. Maintaining the maintenance list. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Works to attain the goals as written in job performance evaluation. Abide by the standards as set forth in First Step Home’s Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct. Pursue training necessary for enhancing maintenance skills.

Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and directives of immediate supervisor, the President/CEO and the Board of Trustees of First Step Home, Inc. Responsible for following the Core Values of First Step Home, Inc. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICIATIONS High School Diploma/GED. One year’s experience in property maintenance.

Valid driver’s license. Personal; auto liability insurance.
