Minimum Qualifications

Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods. Strong communication skills and phone etiquette. Capability to lift and carry moderate to heavy weights safely.

Responsibilities

Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer purchases accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash management and balancing at the end of shifts. Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Perform repetitive motions involved in scanning items and handling payments while maintaining attention to detail. Assist with janitorial duties such as cleaning checkout areas and restocking supplies to maintain a tidy environment. Lift and carry heavy items as necessary to assist customers or manage stock in the checkout area.

Answer phone calls courteously, providing information or directing calls as appropriate. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations. Skills: The required skills such as cashiering and operating cash registers are essential for processing transactions accurately and efficiently on a daily basis.

Customer service skills are utilized continuously to engage with customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
