Food Services Associate I - Various Shifts - University Hospital

Position Details: Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Part-Time, 24 hours per week. Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays required. Shift Differentials: Eligible based on assigned shift. Location: IU Health University Hospital Shift Options: Day Shift Evening Shift Rotating Shifts Position Summary: Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public.

Responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous service. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment. Position Requirements: High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. No experience is required.

Prior food service experience is preferred. Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment. Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc. Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.

Requires the ability to climb ladders. Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
