Position Overview

The Ghoman Group is seeking an energetic, professional, and customer-focused Bartender to join our hospitality team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and serving beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining a welcoming bar environment.

We are looking for a dependable hospitality professional who can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, build positive relationships with guests, and maintain high standards of beverage quality, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.

Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to requests professionally.

Recommend beverages, food pairings, and menu specials to enhance the guest experience and encourage sales.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout each shift.

Process cash, credit card, and other payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Verify guest identification and follow all applicable alcohol service laws and responsible service practices.

Monitor beverage inventory, replenish supplies, and report shortages to management.

Complete opening and closing duties, including bar setup, cleaning, restocking, and equipment maintenance.

Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and efficient food and beverage service.

Handle guest concerns courteously and communicate service issues to management when necessary.

Follow company policies, food safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety standards.

Required Qualifications

1-2 years of bartending experience preferred; hotel, restaurant, or upscale bar experience is an advantage.

Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and standard beverage preparation techniques.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Experience using POS systems and handling cash and credit card transactions.

Ability to multitask, remain organized, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and service quality.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds when required.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must meet applicable legal requirements for alcohol service in Indiana.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Pay: $14.00-$17.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

Tips and Gratuities: Additional earnings from tips, subject to applicable policies and laws.
