POSITION DESCRIPTION Date: July 2026 Position Title: MAINTENANCE WORKER Salary: $16/HR- $18.25 Department: Environmental Services Reports to: Director of Environmental Services Position Information: Full Time, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday Full Time, 2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday Position Description This position assists with all aspects of building, grounds, and vehicle maintenance including unit inspections, preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance.

Essential Functions

Follow oral directions Follow written directions Understand major building systems Make repairs to facility equipment and fixtures, including vehicle maintenance Follow the preventative maintenance program Train with the Maintenance Technician/Director of Environmental Services on HVAC equipment, electrical, plumbing and attain the skills to independently perform these duties Assist with maintaining the overall condition of the building and grounds Perform waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy Attend in-service training programs Be available and respond to facility emergencies including on-call procedures Observe infection control procedures related to the Maintenance Department Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality per the established schedule Comply with safety, fire, protection and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment in maintenance, laundry and housekeeping Personally perform all maintenance tasks and functions, routine, emergency, preventative, and otherwise including unit inspections Monitor all building systems to ensure continuous operations and efficient usage Serve on an on-call basis and respond to campus, equipment, and building emergencies on a timely basis.

Carry cell phone and be available for emergency calls 24/7 Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner Always Adhere to Residents’ Rights policies Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner Participate in committee and events on and off the campus Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program Know, understand and exemplify the Mission and Values of Jennings: Respect, Compassion, Community, Discovery of Potential and Celebration of Life Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Experience with major building systems maintenance Knowledge of safety regulations pertaining to building and life safety codes HVAC certification preferred Demonstrated or capable of learning electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills Understands and communicates job related information and directions in English Occupational Qualifications Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation Prolonged periods of standing, and/or walking, as required by the position Manual dexterity sufficient to perform the job-related tasks accurately and efficiently Visual, auditory, and verbal abilities necessary to communicate effectively and perform job duties Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled hours, including evenings, weekends, or if required Ability to observe all facility safety policies and procedures Benefits offered by Jennings: Possible shift differential pay!
